Get better. With Playbook.
Capture every match, scout your opponents, spot your patterns — and build your training on top of it. For players who want to improve systematically. Plus a digital tactic board for their coaches.
Your game.
Systematically better.
From the first serve to the analysis.
Two apps. One game.
Training and match analysis belong together. Player gives the player a scouting and match journal. Coach gives the coach a digital tactic board. The shared logic: every match, every drill, every shot stays documented and reusable.
Built by a player
who trains himself.
TT Playbook is built in a real hall. Every feature is tested on site — not at the desk. I'm Olaf Kranz: active table tennis player, licensed coach, and web developer. The app fixes the problems that bug me in my own training. If you have feedback, write me — it grows with the people who use it.
Clear answers.
What is the difference between Player and Coach?
Player is the app for players: record matches, scout opponents, analyse your statistics. Coach is the app for coaches: a digital tactic board, drills, TV mirroring. Both work on their own — together they cover competition and training.
Is the app really free?
Both have a permanently free version. With Player you record up to 5 opponents and 20 matches for free — including videos and basic statistics. With Coach, five drills and one training list. For more, Pro is €9.90 per month or €99 per year each — with Player also €499 once for lifetime access.
Do I need internet to use Player?
No. Player is offline-first: your matches, opponents and videos live locally on your device and are available even without reception in the hall. You only need a connection to download the app and for updates.
Where is my data stored?
With Player, your match data and videos stay on your device — we don't sell or share them; videos go into a dedicated folder, not your photo gallery. With Coach, your drills sit on your device and, when you are logged in, also securely in the cloud (servers in Germany). We use no ad trackers in either app.
Are my videos stored safely?
Yes. You record videos directly in Player; they stay local, separate from the system gallery. An optional cloud backup for videos is in the works — until then you have them locally only.
Can I use my rating (TTR)?
You can store and display your rating in your profile and for opponents. Automatic sync with myTischtennis is in development; for now you keep the value up to date manually. Outside German-speaking countries, the rating label adapts to your association.
Do I have to download the app from the App Store or Google Play?
Player is available as a native app for iPhone on the App Store; the Android version on Google Play follows in a few days. You don't need to install Coach — you open it right in the browser on a tablet, phone or laptop and add it via "Add to Home Screen" like an app.
Can I use Player and Coach separately?
Yes. Both apps are fully functional on their own — Player without Coach and vice versa. If you use both, competition and training mesh especially well.
Are there discounts for clubs or schools?
Team plans for clubs are in preparation. If you already need three or more licences today, drop us a line — we'll find a solution.
Is Player available yet?
Yes — Player is available for iPhone on the App Store. The Android version follows in a few days; sign up and we'll ping you once. No spam.
